Amazing Lapland
Everybody dreams about it. I'm lucky to have had the chance to experience it.
It started as a joke with two friends on a balcony in London :
"What should we do for New year?"
"Let's go somewhere warm but in Europe, not too far, so we don't waste time on flights"
"Ok, the most southern part is probably Greece"
"I've just checked... 15 degree in winter"
"Mmmmm ... there's no point going there for 15 degres, we might as well go somewhere cold, where the whole point of the place is the cold... like Lapland"
"Lapland?? I'm in"
"Yeah I'm in too"
Nine months later, on the 23 December 2015, we landed in Rovaniemi in Finland, the official village of Santa Claus, and started a collection of daily "Waaaaoooooow!!!" during 17 days.
People think that it must be hard to organise a trip in Lapland. I thought too. But it was thanks to my friend who organised it all. I have listed below the activities that we did if you want some inspirational ideas. One activity per day during 2 weeks.
